What is twitter and how do I use it?

Twitter is a free micro-blogging service made up of 140 character or less messages called tweets.

Once you create a twitter account, you can follow other twitter users who tweet about what's important to you. Tweets from users you follow will automatically be delivered to you on twitter.com or to your smart phone with the official twitter mobile app.

For more information, see Twitter 101 and be sure to follow @GuideStone and @OSHawkins

What browser should I use?

For a faster, more secure browsing experience, you should always use the most up-to-date browser possible. Using older browsers, non-compatible browsers or disabling browser features will reduce site functionality.

We support the most recent version of all major browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. Until usage declines, some older browser versions may also be supported.

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
  • Mozilla Firefox 47+
  • Google Chrome 49+
  • Apple Safari 8 or higher

What do I need to know about cookies?

GuideStone Financial Resources uses cookies to establish and maintain a secure session between our servers and your browser. Session cookies are not used to track your movements, but session cookies are used to identify you while you are conducting transactions on our website in the Online Services/MyGuideStone™ area. This is only done to guarantee that when you request your account balance (or other transaction), you will receive your account balance and not the account balance of someone else who is signed into MyGuideStone™ at the same time. If we did not use session cookies to do this, only one person at a time could sign into MyGuideStone™. Session cookies are never written to a file or stored on your hard drive.

We take privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting your privacy while you use MyGuideStone™. The cookie is only valid during a single session. Each time you log on to the site, we create a new session cookie. Since session cookies are used to establish and maintain a secure session, you won't be able to access secure areas on our website, including the MyGuideStone™ area, unless cookies are enabled in your browser. Without accepting cookies, you can only access public areas such as the GuideStone home page, retirement information, insurance information and fund information. If you are having problems logging into your account, then cookies may need to be enabled in your browser.
